The College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Phase II is a five-story addition to the existing FAMU College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and includes 40 lab and research modules allowing for expanded pharmaceutical education. The 81,784 SF facility houses labs that include pharmaceutics, pharmacology, toxicology, medicinal chemistry, tissue culture and a variety of other field-related and clean room facilities. The project also houses both a vivarium and specialty imaging facilities. Designed to allow for maximum flexibility in the academic program, the building also includes offices, conference areas and ancillary spaces that can be reconfigured as needed. During pre-construction, Skanska provided support for construction feasibility, constructability, material selections, procurement, material availability, cost and schedule and material lead times.
