Skanska provided construction management services for the new 300,000-SF, two-story, Georgian-style high school building that serves 2,000 students. This project was one of the largest construction projects in the South Texas region in both size and dollar value. Situated on a 96-acre site, the athletic complex consisted of a sub-varsity competition football and varsity soccer field, including a competition track. The football/soccer/track stadium includes seating for approximately 500 home and 250 visiting fans, complete with a press box. The varsity baseball and softball stadiums include 250 fan seating, press boxes, home and visitor bull pens and batting cages. Additional aspects of the new high school include: 52 classrooms, business labs, science labs, fine arts classrooms, auditorium and stage, library, competition and auxiliary gymnasium and locker rooms, administration area, kitchen and central utility plant.
